Reemployment Is Not Recovery

What happens to workers’ productive skills when automation displaces them and their next job requires different tasks?

Background

I received my PhD in Economics from the Vienna Graduate School of Economics in 2023, supervised by Michael Reiter and Alejandro Cuñat. My work spans quantitative macroeconomics, public economics, labor economics, and household finance.
